While cowbells dominate the atmosphere during home football games, it’s wedding bells gaining attention for The Mill at MSU. The fully renovated 124-year-old building ranks among the Top 5 historic wedding venues on Mississippi Magazine’s 2026 M-List.

Reopened in 2015, The Mill has quickly become an event destination for those wanting a venue with a historic look and feel but all the modern conveniences needed for a comfortable experience.

Exposed beams, original brick and hardwood flooring showcase the building’s century-long history. Since its renovation, The Mill at MSU has hosted nearly 700 gatherings, including weddings in every season.

Home to the Mississippi State University Division of Development and Alumni since early 2024, The Mill features more than a dozen distinctive meeting areas and 10,000 square feet of flexible event space, making it ideal for anything from 1,000 guests to an intimate gathering.

The Mill offers an on-site, 300-car parking garage and is conveniently located near both the Courtyard by Marriott and Hampton Inn. The hotels deliver 170 guest rooms and another 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

Located at 600 Russell St., The Mill is within walking distance of Starkville’s bustling downtown and Cotton District. A convenient trolley service provides a connection between The Mill, the hotels and campus locations like The Chapel of Memories.
